April 18, 2009: Today started with another talk for the campaign. The archbishop was there and told me that I hit on the essence of Stewardship and that is what the talk should have conveyed. He met my sons and daughter. He took time to talk to them. Everything went great. And then...
I was home changing for my sons soccer games. My wife called. Jake had fallen and hit his head on a fire hydrant. It was not good. I met her at the ER of the Children Hospital where the ambulance had taken him. On they way I prayed. I told God that I wanted His Will to be done, but that He knew my choice. I said I believed he could heal him with a thought, no matter how bad it was.
At the hospital, they told me he had stop breathing and his heart rate had dropped, but he was now stable. He was admitted to the PICU. He was on a respirator. By the evening he was alert and off the respirator. No Brain bleeders and no swelling. I stayed so that my wife could go home.
He should be better. My God was there.
For that, I am truly thankful.
